Homeopathic Remedies for Surgery Support

In instances where dental, surgical, or medical test procedures are required, homeopathic medicine has a long-standing tradition of aiding the healing journey.

This assistance begins by addressing any anxiety and pre-procedure stress and continues until both the mind and body have completely recuperated.

The provided information pertains to homeopathic remedy pictures and traditional texts. It is important to keep homeopathic principles in mind when using such remedies. Make sure to carefully read the product label and promptly consult your healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist.

Homoeopathy stimulates your body’s natural healing process and should be taken following minimum dose guidelines. Once the healing process has begun, additional dosages should not be necessary.

Homoeopathy is a versatile approach to holistic healing that can greatly assist in post-operative recuperation as well as other medical procedures such as after a biopsy, insertion of a cannula, after going through intra-venous catheter procedure, intravenous drip or infusion, and after a blood test.

Individualised remedies are specifically selected to align with your unique circumstances, the type of surgery you have undergone, and the particular symptoms you are encountering.

When recovering from surgery or an injury, it is acceptable to use multiple remedies if your symptoms require them. Once the healing process has begun, additional dosages should not be necessary.

I also offer personalised homoeopathic surgery packages and treatment to support you after surgery or dental work.
Appointments are either 20 minutes or 30 minutes long and provide detailed advice about the most suitable remedies to support your recovery and reduce pain and discomfort.

The list below provides information about five commonly used remedies for promoting healing after surgery. There are many other remedies which are indicated according to types of surgery and situations.

Arnica
Arnica covers the bulk of all surgeries. It can be used first, then followed with the remedy most indicated for the specific type of surgery.  Arnica is a highly effective remedy for most surgical cases. It should be taken promptly after the surgery to alleviate pain, swelling, and bruising. In addition to reducing recovery time, it also aids in emotional healing from the ordeal of surgery as well as physical healing. You can use prescribe it every 3 hours or 3 times per day for a few days to a week.

Aconite
Aconite is renowned for its ability to treat fear and emotional trauma. It may be necessary following a surgical operation where these symptoms are present. Additionally, it is the top choice for addressing discomfort, swelling, and light sensitivity after any type of eye surgery.

Calendula
Calendula, like Arnica, is useful in avoiding post-operative infection and may be administered on frequently. Calendula also helps the healing of surgical incisions (which is why they must be kept clean at all times).
Calendula may also aid with pain relief, particularly if the afflicted region is painful and sensitive. If the problematic region is covered or internal, this medicine may be taken in potency (tablet or round pills form), and it can also be administered topically* to aid in the healing process following minor surgery.
*Ratio: 5 drops of Calendula or Hypercal (mix of Calendula and Hypericum) tincture to one tablespoon of cooled freshly boiled water.

Mag phos
Mag phos is one of the main remedies for neuralgic pain, and can be helpful in post operative pain, especially where the pain feels worse for cold and better for warmth and warm applications.

Hypericum
Hypericum is regarded as the ‘Arnica of the Nerves’. It is a highly effective treatment for acute post-operative pain. It will also be useful in circumstances when the surgical site is very sensitive and unpleasant to touch.

If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to seek guidance from a registered homoeopath in choosing suitable remedies.
