Recent research has demonstrated that homeopathic remedies are more effective than a placebo when it comes to treating various ailments in human beings.
Through examining various meta-analyses of randomised case-control studies, researchers sought to assess the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment.
The criteria set by the researchers ensured the selection of studies with sound methodological standards. Additionally, renowned tools were used to assess the risk of bias for each study.
As a result, they handpicked six meta-analyses spanning from 1943 to 2014, each examining between 16 and 110 studies.
As per this systematic review and meta-analysis, homeopathy has been found to yield positive outcomes in comparison to placebo when it comes to treating diseases in humans.
Furthermore, the evidence strongly supports the effectiveness of individualised, classical homeopathy over non-individualised homeopathic treatment.
According to the researchers, there is no evidence to support limiting the use of homeopathy in healthcare systems.
In terms of effectiveness, homeopathy was found to have a quality of evidence comparable to or above 90% of other medical treatments.
In conclusion, the meta-analyses consistently demonstrated a significant positive impact of homeopathy over placebo in all trials.
