Brazilian researchers Franscinne Brait Narita, Bruna Scardoeli, Hugo Gallo Neto, Cidéli de Paula Coelho have published an excellent study on the homeopathic treatment of pododermatitis in Magellanic penguins.

The treatment comprised of remedies Arnica montana and Calcarea carbonica.
Results: After treatment, the appearance of the lesions improved significantly: in most of the
penguins there was no longer any evidence of infection or oedema on the feet.
‘For all five penguins we studied, the external appearance of the lesions improved visibly. For penguins 029, 099 and 093, there was no longer any sign of infection or oedema in the foot area. Even where there were still signs of infection, there was a clear reduction in the size and thickness of the lesions and no more signs of oedema in the plantar region; this was especially apparent for penguins 004 and 096.’
Kudos to the Brazilian researchers for their outstanding publication, positioning Brazil as a global leader in homeopathy research.
